Mechanical Design Engineer and technical generalist Rick Timmer eagerly dives into every aspect of a project, even those outside his usual expertise. With his versatility and curiosity, he has ensured successful projects over his four years at VDL ETG Technology & Development in Almelo. No matter the challenge: he and his team always find a solution.

Industrial Engineer Randy has the ambition to grow into a professional in the field of production methods and process optimisation, eventually leading a continuous improvement team. There is high market demand for VDL ETG's products, which will further grow the company and make internal efficiency increasingly important.

For the first two years of his career at VDL GL Precision, Dino was an Operations Trainee. Currently, he holds the position of Group Lead Production. Dino's ambition is clear: he aspires to become the director of one of our locations.

Maurice has been working as the Lead Electronic Architect at VDL ETG since 2022. In that role, he has technical responsibility for the electronic design of one of our biggest projects – a complex machine used in the high-tech industry. He works with a team of electronic engineers and other experts to devise and implement the most effective solutions for our customers.

Aurelio is an experienced metalworker with over 30 years in the profession. He began his career at the Philips Training Centre, where he trained in metal engineering. As a bander, he completed his diploma and learned all about machining. For a few years now, he has been working in the Tig Welding Micro Orbital department, where he puts his excellent hand-eye coordination and perfectionism to good use. This year, his craftsmanship even earned him a nomination for the Noordhof Prize.

Amirreza enjoys working in the high-tech industry, as it makes solving electronics challenges even more interesting. Many scientific details need to be considered during PCB designing and maintaining electronic boards. Amirreza is involved with a couple of complicated designs simultaneously. Switching between projects can be challenging.

Ddoyd Brown has had a love of engineering since he was very young. As a cleanroom fitter, he builds and checks unique and complex machines. As a fitter in a high-tech industry, an ability to carry out high-precision work is very important, so good concentration and a healthy dose of patience are also indispensable. For this technology enthusiast in particular, working in the high-tech industry and the colleagues he works with are what makes working at VDL ETC Almelo even more fun!

Meet Alexis, Lead Program Manager at VDL ETG Singapore. She was born and raised in a small town in southern Malaysia. With a background in Business Administration and having majored in Human Resource Management, she now works in the dynamic field of Program Management.

Stef is living proof that as a young professional, you’re in the right place at VDL ETG Almelo. After successfully completing his internship, he stayed on at VDL ETG Almelo. He quickly rose from graduate recruit to Factory Engineer and has now been working as a project manager for some time. So it's clear to see that having a 'can do' mentality and a willingness to jump in at the deep end will take you far at VDL.
